Welcome to our 2016 Startup Summer Launched Night Investment Panel! Tonight you will have an opportunity to see
the impact of our Startup Summer program. This is the second year we have launched Startup Summer in South Florida, as a part of the Make Your Job partnership with Citi
Foundation. This year, 20 NFTE South Florida students
spent the summer months working to transform their business plans into operational businesses.
Entrepreneurial thinking and behavior are rapidly becoming
crucial skills for success in the 21st century. Through Startup
Summer, our students learned how to recognize opportunity,
take initiative, solve difficult problems, and remain resilient
and confident in the face of challenges. In addition, this program connects students to leaders from global organizations, fellow entrepreneurs, and industry experts in order to
further develop their skill sets in research, critical thinking,
and communications.
