Opening/Closing Session:
Opening Session: The keynote speaker of the Washington DC NFLC opening session is teen advocate and author Josh Shipp. He was a former at-risk foster child who has devoted his life to helping those who are in the same situation that he was in and was listed on INC Magazine’s 30 under 30 list. He has spoken at Harvard, Stanford, UCLA and MIT and has served as teen expert on news outlets such as CNN and the New York Times.
Closing Session: Student success coach Hoan Do will close out the 2014 NFLC. He has served as a corporate trainer for the US Army, Bank of America and UBS Financial and is a recipient of the Verizon Wireless Motivator Award.
Workshops:
As the conference draws closer, a official schedule of workshops will be released, however the workshops range from networking and fundraising to marketing and innovation. There's a wide variety of speakers and interactive activities to boost your FBLA and academic experience.
Exhibits:
Open on the second day of the NFLC, you can explore universities and vendors and check out unique fundraising contests and opportunities for your chapter.
