We have been serving you since 1958. We are here for you now, and we will always be here – for you! North Florida College is your college, and we have changed our name to better reflect the expanded role we offer. In this issue of Connections, you will see some of the exciting activities that celebrated our name change. If you have not seen our new Live Oak location, you will certainly enjoy learning about it here. We also want to tell you about an innovative pilot program called Sentinel Scholars Collegiate Academy that we launched in partnership with Suwannee County High School and Branford High School. Finally, we want to brag just a little bit about being awarded a National Science Foundation Grant to offer a program we are calling STEM SEALs that we believe will have a major impact on the understanding and appreciation of science learning among middle schoolers throughout the College’s service district. I hope you enjoy this issue of Connections. As we go about the task of rebranding the College, putting up new signs and ordering new stationary, you can be sure that as we all embrace a new name, we will always remember who we are, and that service to our community is at the heart of everything we do.
