NFC Connections Summer 2020 - Page 30

IN TIMES OF NEED, NFC IS Here to Help Our students During its 2020 Spring Term, the North Florida College Foundation provided a total of $16,386 to 42 students seeking emergency funding assistance through the NFC Student Relief Fund. The fund was created in April to help support NFC students with unexpected financial burdens during the coronavirus pandemic. ““The North Florida College Foundation exists to help our students,” said NFC President John Grosskopf. “There has not been a greater challenge to our students and their educational dreams than the situation we are experiencing right now. This new effort is the perfect example of how this Foundation and its Board respond quickly and purposefully to help our students when they need it most.” The fund assists eligible NFC students with living costs, utilities, groceries and other necessities. Each student, if approved, can receive up to $500 if funds are available. Generous donors gave $1,325 to help benefit the NFC Student Relief Fund since January. COMMUNITY THEATRE: Wickedly fun!
