When the Olympics first started, women were excluded and instead given their own Games Of Hera,
they were mainly races. It’s not too often you see parents putting their little princess's into hockey and
football or their son’s into dancing. Women and girls who play rough contact sports are labeled lesbians or tomboy. Since sports have been created, women were marked not tough enough or too girly
for contact games. Boxing is viewed to be one of the toughest sports around, a ‘guy’ sport. And it
wasn’t until 2012 that Nicola Adams became the first female boxer to win a gold medal in the Olympics. Nicola Adams fought and won her first fight at 13 years old, but only four years later was she
able to fight her second opponent. She was also the first female boxer to represent England. Another
