Snow & Ice Liability Legislation
We’ re in the Home Stretch— Take Action Now With 22 inches of snow on the ground, the message was impossible to ignore. On January 29, 2026, MALP leaders met with key members of the Joint Committee on Ways & Means at the State House to press the case for longawaited snow and ice liability protections.
Mike Landry, MCLP( Riverside Services), Brian Paige, MCLP( Paige Landscaping), and Joe Szczechowicz, MCLP( SLS Outdoor Living & Landscape), joined GIA legislative agents Steve Boksanski and Warren Lent to advocate for S. 1370 and H. 2100: An Act Relative to Snow Removal Service Liability Limitation.
Thanks to these meetings and many other association outreach efforts, Joint Ways & Means committee members now clearly understand how critical this legislation is to snow and ice management businesses, as well as public safety, across the Commonwealth.
Now It’ s Your Turn We’ re close— but we need your voice to finish the job. A quick email or phone call from MALP members can make the difference.
