MALP’ s Annual Meeting & Elections
MALP’ s Annual Meeting, held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 was a well-attended and productive meeting, bringing together close to 100 members to learn about creating landscapes that thrive in a changing climate.
Outgoing president Chris Connors, MCLP opened the meeting and expressed gratitude to his fellow board members and the management team for their contributions to a successful year. Chris ran the elections and welcomed Miriam Hellweg as the new president of MALP. See Miriam’ s remarks on page 3.
A highlight of the meeting was a thought-provoking presentation by Trevor Smith, Director of Design and Education for ReEarth Studio in Boston. Trevor shared the realities of how climate change is reshaping how we design, build, and maintain landscapes. He gave practical advice on how to enhance ecosystem services, reduce long-term maintenance challenges, and create landscapes that are built to endure and thrive in the face of environmental change.
