With the spring season in full swing, MALPs members took advantage of the opportunity to connect with peers and take away practical enhancements to improve pollinator health.
Nicole Bell, UMass Extension Pollinator Specialist offered valuable guidance, resources and approaches that support pollinators in the landscape. She explored nesting habitat, including how and when to manage leaves, stems, and cleanup practices to avoid disrupting essential life cycles. She also addressed pesticide exposure, highlighting management decisions that reduce risk and create safer, more resilient landscapes.
