Hello MLP Members ,
We LOVE our New England … but she is a challenge ! Last year we were crying for rain and this year we are crying about all the rain !
Each year plants have had different struggles . Thank goodness we , as landscape professionals , have the knowledge and skills to take on drought as well as fungal diseases .
As demonstrated at Fall Field Day , our arborist friends in MAA have the same concerns in caring for trees as we do in looking at the complete landscape . Our ever-expanding network of industry colleagues allows us to reach out and answer each other ’ s questions .
As we search for ways to work more sustainably , sharing knowledge with other green industry professionals in allied organizations enables us to offer services and continue the fight against global warming .
It has been my great pleasure to lead this organization for the past two years . We have made great strides in elevating our profession and moving toward sustainable landscape management . Thank you to my fellow board members , MLP ’ s management team , and most of all to our members .
I ’ ll see you at the Annual Meeting !
Karen L . Kerr , MCLP President
