Fit for the Future construction
projects underway
Construction will be ongoing throughout
the 2018-19 school year at all five of
Anoka-Hennepin’s traditional high schools.
When school begins Sept. 4, parents and guardians, students,
and staff will notice an array of construction projects happening at
all five of the district’s high schools, as well at the locations of two
new elementary schools (Blaine and Ramsey).
The work is the start of a four-year construction cycle that will
impact every one of our schools as part of the Fit for the Future plan.
That plan, which was backed by voters last November when the
community approved a request for new funding to make the plan
happen, will create safe and secure learning environments by
removing all portable classrooms across the district, construct
additional schools and classroom space, provide solutions for
maintaining quality schools at every building in the district, and
address class sizes at all levels.

construction timeline, or more information about the plan itself,
