School Uniform Orders
We would like to remind all parents that school uniform items are no longer held in stock at the academy. Parents wishing to make an order can print off a Uniform Order Form from the school website or collect a paper copy from the School Office.
Your order will be placed once full payment is received but will be subject to stock availability. Orders may take up to 4 weeks.
School Photographer
Next week, the school photographer will be visiting school. We will be following the same programme as last year with the photographer in our academy for two days to allow enough time to take photographs of all our pupils and family groups.
Tuesday 16th October
• All classes other than Reception and Nursery
• Family groups other than Nursery and Reception Children
• Family groups including pre-school children from 3:30pm
Wednesday 17th October
• Reception Classes
• Nursery am and pm
• Family groups for children in these year groups
Collaborative Project
This week we have launched this term’s Collaborative Project – Let’s Get Physical! Our Collaborative projects feature twice during the year for our pupils in Year 3 and above. These projects are designed to promote the benefits of children working together and the emphasis is always upon providing fun opportunities for the children to get involved in.
We are always very impressed with the contributions that our pupils make and the imagination that they display. Every year, it is clear that those pupils who do take the time to establish partnerships gain enormous benefits from the process, as it helps to develop all of the skills that are important in making their way successfully in future careers.
We do stress that participation in the project is totally voluntary. Pupils who do not submit a project will not be challenged by staff as we hope that pupils actively choose to be involved rather than be forced to participate. The children will of course be encouraged to take part and we know that parents have been very supportive of the process in previous years. Those pupils who do submit a collaborative project know that it will contribute towards them being awarded a Personal Development Award at the end of the year
