Collaborative Project

This week we have launched this term’s Collaborative Project. This is something which features twice during the year for our pupils in Year 3 and above. It is designed to promote working together and the emphasis is upon providing fun opportunities for the children to get involved in.

We are always impressed with the contributions that our pupils make and the imagination they display. It is extremely clear that those pupils who do take time to establish partnerships gain great benefits from the process as it helps develop all the skills that are important in making their way successfully in future careers.

Participation in the project is totally voluntary. Pupils who fail to submit a project will not be challenged by staff as we hope they actively choose to be involved rather than be forced to participate. They will of course be encouraged to take part and we know that parents have been very supportive of the process in previous years. Those pupils who do submit a collaborative project know that it contributes towards them be awarded a gold or silver Personal Development Award at the end of the year.

The information sheet for this term’s project contains a list of possible ways the pupils could become involved and we believe there is something there to suit the wide range of talents that they have. We would ask parents to help arrange where possible meetings between the pupils so they can play and work together because this is where the real success of the project will be.

Any parents requiring further information can contact their child’s teacher.
