Our Year 5 and 6 pupils have again qualified for the County Indoor Athletics Finals to be held in Stoke in the new year.
The team of boys and girls beat a large number of other schools from South Staffordshire at the recent Regional heat held at Aldersley stadium.
You may recall that our academy are currently three times County champions and it appears that our highly committed and talented team will be just as competitive in 2018.
We hope they can repeat the previous successes.

Christmas Fayre
It was good to see the Church full with parents and grandparents. Over the three services 430 children participated and they all performed well and hopefully benefited from the experience. I am sure you can appreciate what a difficult task it is to co-ordinate so many pupils walking to the church safely, making sure they all have suitable space in the Church and that the services run on time.
It had also proved difficult to arrange a time convenient time for both St. John’s Church and ourselves given the busy timetables we both have but I am pleased that we were able to proceed this year and would like to thank Reverend Wendy and her team for their hospitality.
The separate service held here in the academy for our 86 Year 6 pupils was also very successful with the pupils demonstrating a good understanding of the more difficult issues around Harvest. The pupils discussed the vast differences between parts of the globe where food can be scarce or plentiful and the implications for people in the future.
A quick reminder that the Parents’ Association Christmas Fayre is being held here on Friday of this week, starting at 6pm.

On Thursday 14th December Alison, our school cook will be serving a special Christmas menu.
This is extremely popular with the children and many of those who normally bring sandwiches to school have a Christmas dinner.
If your child does normally bring sandwiches I would be grateful if you could indicate on the online form that you would like to order a special Christmas Dinner on the December 14th. This will ensure enough meals are prepared. The form can be found on the lunch menu page under the parents heading of our website. Please submit your request as soon as possible. Meals cost £2. If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they are of course entitled to a free meal.
