Staff news

I have some staffing information to share with parents and families.

Last week Mrs Barber began her maternity leave, and the whole school wishes her well, as she prepares for the birth of her second child.

Mrs Padley has been a Learning Support Assistant at St John’s for over 13 years, working in a variety of year groups during that time. After half term, Mrs Padley is beginning a new chapter in her career with young people, and I am sure that everyone will join me in thanking Mrs Padley for her service to St John’s, and wish her all the best in her new role.

St John's awarded 5 star gardening school

The RHS Campaign for School Gardening inspires and supports schools to provide children with gardening opportunities to enhance their skills and boost their development and we're pleased to be recognised as a 5 star Gardening school!

YEars 1 & 2

After half term years 1 and 2 will become geographers exploring the local area Essington. As part of their art work, the children will be making leaf luminaries. Could we please ask you to send the children in with a translucent milk bottle. The staff in years 1 and 2 thank you for your support and are looking forward to celebrating our local village with the children.
