Paris Visit 2018
After half term a large party of 60 Year 6 pupils will be traveling to Paris for a 5 day visit. This tour is a fixture on the academy calendar and I am pleased to say a booking for our current Year 5 year group has been secured for March 2019.
This year the children will as usual be traveling by coach through the Channel Tunnel to a large Chateau on the outskirts of Paris. The centre we stay in is specially designed to accommodate school groups and is located in a fabulous rural setting.
During their stay the children will have the opportunity to visit the Eiffel Tower,
The Stade de France and Disneyland. Hopefully they will have a really enjoyable time. Regular updates will appear on Twitter and there will photographs posted on our web site when they return.
Community Event
Friends of Essington are again organising a community event as part of the “The Great British Spring Clean”. This will take place on Saturday 3rd March 2018. Last year the event was extremely well supported and proved to be a phenomenal success. Anyone interested in helping simply has to be at the Scout and Guide HQ on Brownshore at 9-30 am on that day. High Vis jackets, gloves and litter pickers will be available.
