Free School Meals

During these uncertain times, and whilst our Academy remains closed to some year groups, the Government are offering support in the form of supermarket e-vouchers to families who are eligible for the benefit-related Free School Meals entitlement.

You may be eligible for Free School Meals if you are in receipt of the following benefits.

• Income Support

• Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance

• Income-related Employment and Support Allowance

• Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

• The guaranteed element of Pension Credit

• Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)

• Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit

• Universal Credit

If you believe you are entitled, please apply directly using this link

You will be given a decision immediately. If your entitlement is confirmed, the Academy will be notified and we can begin to process your order for Supermarket vouchers.

The current entitlement is £15 per child per week, which can be used in major supermarkets to purchase healthy food items for your child’s lunch.

Year 6 transition to Cheslyn Hay Academy

Many Y6 pupils and parents will be wondering about what the transition arrangements for their child’s secondary school will look like in the current circumstances. We have put a letter from Mrs Crookshank, Headteacher of Cheslyn Hay Academy, on our website at the end of May, and I would like to remind parents that this is available to them via the news page on our website.

We will inform you of any further updates as soon as they are available.
