The following is a message from the board of management to all members of the Maleny Bowls Club:. Please be advised that a Special General Meeting of all members is called for Tuesday 23 rd July at the clubhouse at 1.30 pm( after bowls). If you are not playing bowls that day, please make every effort to attend as the item on the agenda is most important and concerns you all.

The agenda item to be discussed is the future of the Maleny Bowls Club – your club.

Your board members are very concerned as to the continuing financial status of the club and its ability to continue to operate through 2014 and beyond.

You are all members of the club but only a few are supporting the club each and every week by playing bowls and making purchase over the bar. Last year we celebrated our 75 th anniversary. Come to the meeting with some ideas as to how our club can continue for many more years to come.

LIVE LIFE VILLAGES HINTERLAND BOWLS CARNIVAL 2013 POSTPONED

This major event was to be held over Saturday and Sunday, 29-30 June 2013. However there was a problem in filling all of the team places, due mainly to the many players at both Mapleton and Maleny Bowls Clubs who are away at this time of year. The event will now be held later in the year, most likely in November. Members will be advised well in advance of the dates so that teams can be drawn up.
