2 Plum Pudding Bowls Day is one of the most successful ‘Bowls Day’ that Maleny Bowls Club can be proud of. Its success is notable for the number of friendly players on the day - this year 64 players (including Maleny players) were on the green for two games of bowls. A delightful lunch was prepared by the ladies of Maleny and there was the chance to purchase a ‘superb, homemade’ Christmas Pudding. Winners (from Pelican Waters) and runner-up winners (from Mooloolaba) were each presented with a large homemade Christmas Pudding as their trophy. Other players took the opportunity to take home a choice pudding, leaving only a few puddings yet to sell. So if you and your family would like to purchase a Christmas Pudding from Maleny, please call into the club Monday to Friday between 2.30pm and 5.00pm or contact Maggie Crowe 5494 3350 or Margaret Ginns 5499 9738. Many thanks to the many Maleny members and friends who supported the Plum Pudding Day this year. Working group WINNERS: Pelican Waters team with a plus 40 win over two games. John O’Kane , Betty Backhouse, and Margaret and Kev Skemin. Maggie Crowe RUNNERS UP: Mooloolaba team. Jill Barrett, Wendy Smedley, Di Austin and Jill McNeill. With Maggie Crowe and Sandra Kapetanic.
