Focus is a service for residents of the Anoka-Hennepin School District published to keep them informed about the investment in their public schools and students . Since she was a child , Marie Boo , a 2007 graduate of Anoka High School ( AHS ), has dreamt of being a member of the U . S . Women ’ s Soccer National Team ( USWNT ). She recently had the opportunity to live out her dream , although not how she originally imagined it .
Boo worked as a physical therapist for USWNT from
Marie B January of 2021 until recently of ISI _ U taking a new position outside the organization . As the team ’ s physical therapist , she provided daily on-field rehabilitation while traveling w July , Boo traveled to New Zealand for Women ’ s World Cup , which is one of in the sport .
“ It was a little surreal to be in New Z the team that I looked up to when I w said . “ It was a lot of work , day in and d exciting to be a part of the World Cup everything we can to support the athl their best .”
The inspiration
Boo ’ s desire to reach the highest lev soccer started at the age of 7 or 8 wh a ball girl for the AHS girls soccer team she watched fellow AHS alum Briana S women ’ s national team to a World Cu fueled her desire to chase the dream .
Despite being a captain on the Torn team as a senior , Boo realized that co field wasn ’ t going to be her path .
