Public review : Curriculum review nights provide parent feedback opportunity
Anoka-Hennepin School District families , students , staff , and community members are invited to review and provide feedback on eight new curriculum options in the areas of secondary science , math , and social studies . The district will offer both in-person and virtual open house opportunities in November .
The resources will be available for community viewing on Nov . 16 from 5:30-7 p . m . at the Educational Service
Center in Anoka . For parties unable to attend the in-person meeting , resources are available to view virtually from Nov . 15-29 .
As the district reviews and adopts new materials in courses , it involves students , parents , and the community as part of a comprehensive 41-step process . Current math , language arts , science , social studies , and health materials were all adopted after community engagement and public review of the materials , and future purchases will also be reviewed publicly before official adoption . n

Coon Rapids High School ( CRHS ) welcomed its fifth Hall of Fame class in school history on Sept . 29 . The 2023 Hall of Fame class featured three former standout students and one longtime coach and administrator .
Semhar Araia , Dan Dehnicke , Lonnie Dupre and Logan Shore were recognized in a ceremony and on-field introduction prior to the football game against Anoka at Cardinal Stadium .
