Child Nutrition
Good nutrition is an essential part of a good education. Anoka-Hennepin’s
Child Nutrition Program (CNP) follows current USDA guidelines. Our mission
is to prepare nutritious meals that meet or exceed those guidelines, and to
create a safe and positive environment for our guests to enjoy their meals.

the student’s name and ID number on the check to ensure the funds are
deposited to the proper account.
Applying for free or reduced meals
Applying online is easy! Go to ahschools.us/freereduced, set up an account
and complete the application. It will take about five minutes. After your appli-
cation is processed, CNP will mail you a letter indicating if it was approved or
denied. If denied, you will be paying full price and will need to have money in
the students’ accounts to purchase meals.
Each school year, the State of Minnesota sends the district informa-
tion, indicating if a student is pre-approved for free meals. If you did
not receive a letter stating that your student was pre-approved for
free meals you will need to fill out an application.
Regardless of your past eligibility a new application
needs to be completed each school year.
Visit our website at ahschools.us/cnp for more information.
We look forward to serving nutritious meals to the
students of Anoka-Hennepin schools.
