MALTA Meeting Point Malta New Chief Executive Officer During the month of May, former Meeting Point Malta (MPM) Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Martin Farrugia, has been appointed CEO of Meeting Point Partners and assigned new projects to develop. Following that, Meeting Point Malta are very pleased to announce the appointment of their new CEO, Kati Paasi, with effect from the 1st of August 2018. Kati has a Master’s Degree in Hotel Management from Cornell University, New York, and a Degree in Hotel and Tourism Management from Haaga-Helia University, Finland. Kati started her career as a Representative, Destination, and Contracting Manager for an airline. Following that, she moved as a Hotel General Manager, in Egypt, and then joined Meeting Point International (Malta) handling the International Division. During this period, she has set-up and lead the Accommodation and Purchasing sections, supporting the Scandinavian and Nordic market units. She then moved to a local government office in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, as Business Development Director and then joined Meeting Point Emirates as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, she established and led MPI’s global commercial market, whilst also developed and implemented strategic commercial plans. Most recently, as a Public Relations Representative for Dubai and UK. (Meeting Point Malta Chief Executive Officer, Kati Paasi.) Kati will be reporting to Meeting Point International CEO, Khaled Jouny, and responsible for the core business of Meeting Point Malta. In addition, she will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnership and alliances to grow Meeting Point Malta core and extended services, which aligns with the group’s vision and strategy.
