Congreso Internacional de Hotelería, Turismo y Gastronomía; “Te Propongo Chile”
The Congress gathered national and international panelist of diverse areas such as winery, culinary, bartenders, pastry,
tourism, and hospitality among others. The center of discussion was about the richness and diversity of Chile's natural
resources, and the essential part they play for the development of a tourist culture and Chilean cuisine.
Besides the Chilean presenters, international chefs made demonstrative master classes, where they showed the real value
of some characteristic products of their areas. Their experience and views also helped the audience to understand why
and how Chile can reach international recognition with its food, and they also encouraged younger attendants, to innovate
with tools that technical and professional education gives them.
Extension of Partnership on the Culinary Arts with Restaurant Management Bachelor
On the 21st July 2016, Mr. Hervé Fleury (Executive Vice
President of Institut Paul Bocuse) signed the extension of
the partnership for the conduct of the Culinary Arts and
Restaurant Management Bachelor Diploma in Singapore
with Mr. Bruce Poh (Director/CEO of Institute of Technical
Education). The Letter of Agreement is for the period of
seven years from 2017 – 2024.
ITE Graduation Ceremony (22nd July 2016)
The ITE Graduation Ceremony was held on the 22nd July 2016. The 3rd batch of students
from the Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management Bachelor Diploma graduated in the
presence of Mr. Hervy Fleury (EVP of IPB). The representative from the French Embassy
in Singapore, Mr. Bertrand Pous also attended the ceremony. The Guest of Honour was
the Acting Minister for Education, Mr. Ong Ye Kung.
