Industrial leadership
It is possible to say that this pillar is more innovation-oriented
and more industry and small and medium sized enterprises
(SMEs) focused. The Competitiveness and Innovation Framework
Program is also integrated into the Horizon 2020 and under
Industrial Leadership pillar.

Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions in
Horizon2020
Marie Curie actions under People Program of FP7 will return as
Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) under Excellent Science
of Horizon2020.
Objective of the program remains same that it supports the
further development and consolidation of the European Research
Area and the overall strategic objective is to make Europe more
attractive for the best researchers.
The objective is estimated to receive a budget of 5.7billion Euro
(nearly %7 of the estimated budget).
Action 1: Innovative Training Networks (ITN)
Main EU program providing support for structured doctoral
training, including industrial doctorates to foster a new generation
of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative early-stage researchers
able to face current and future challenges and to convert
knowledge and ideas into products and services for economic
and social benefit:
— European Training Networks (ETN)
— European Industrial Doctorates (EID)
— European Joint Doctorates (EJD)
Action 2: Individual Fellowships (IF)
Main EU program for career development:
— European Fellowships (moving within Europe or to Europe)
— Global Fellowships (moving to 3rd country and a reintegration
period to Europe)
Eligibility:
— Mobility Rule is applied:
• Intersectoral mobility (moving from industry to academia or vice
versa)
• International mobility (moving from 3rd country to Europe or
within Europe)
• Experienced researchers can benefit from the fellowships (4
years of research experience or PhD).
