Cole Park , spanning eight acres , is a cherished community park situated at 1031 Kenilworth Lane . Acquired in 1950 , Cole Park was one of the four parks financed through the issuance of a $ 175,000 bond . This investment in the park system has provided generations with a place to gather , play , and enjoy the outdoors . In 1963 , Cole Park was annexed into the Village of Glenview . The park ’ s name pays homage to Louis S . Cole , one of the original Park Board Commissioners . Notably , Louis served as Park Superintendent in 1927
