In November , the Glenview Park District received Distinguished Agency Accreditation , a prestigious honor that recognizes agencies for meeting the highest standards of quality management , service delivery , and community engagement . This accreditation process , entirely voluntary , underscores the Park District ’ s dedication to exceeding expectations and elevating recreational services for residents .
The honor was formally celebrated at the Illinois Association of Park District ’ s Annual Conference in Chicago this January . The Illinois Distinguished Accreditation program aims to enhance the delivery of recreation services and improve the quality of life for Illinois residents .
