FEATURED IT OF THE MONTH Indi Diarra | Mali & USA Indi was born in Los Angeles, California, and has a bachelor’s degree in Forensic Psychology as well as a master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). She is often busy either reading an exciting book or learning a new dance. 01 Indi has an affinity for lan- guages. She can speak 7 includ- ing English, French, Japanese, Bambara, some Korean and a little bit of Mandarin and Can- tonese. She’s always interested in learning more. 01 03 02 Indi’s family is from Mali, a country in west Africa which is in the Sahara Desert. 02 03 Indi’s grandfather was the president of Mali for twen- ty-three years and her father was the Prime Minister for one year. 04 Indi has two younger brothers. To the right the three of them are pictured with their mother. 04 02 05 Indi has lived in Mali, The USA, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Canada, and Hong Kong. 06 Indi moved to Hong Kong completely on a whim, with- out much planning in advance. She just decided she wanted to move to Asia and she did it! 05 06 07 07 Indi is an avid reader. She read the last Harry Potter book in less than 5 hours. 5 JANUARY 2018
