Govt move on 73rd Amendment, administrative units a political gimmick: AIBCU
Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Feb 10: Terming the introduction of 73rd Amendment bill in J&K and constitution of new administrative units as political gimmick, the All India Backward Classes Union has appealed to the OBCs to dissociate themselves from political parties and join hands for defeating these politicians.
A meeting of the Union was held today wherein speakers termed the creation of new administrative units as a hollow political policy for the poor for whom such developments make no sense without their due constitutional rights and specific share in every field. Their due share and access in every field can only feed the poor people and uphold their dignity in the society, they added.
Sidelining the issue of introducing the bill for 27 percent due share of reservation for the State OBC reflects the inner policy of PCC president Prof Saif-ud-Din Soz and his party, the meet said.
The union warned that the OBC people will not tolerate such treacherous and fraudulent politicians who go with one statement and do the reverse. Poor people have decided to uproot these politicians and parties in the forthcoming elections, the union added.
Those who attended the meeting, included Swarn Singh, Sandokh Chand, Puran Chadgotra, Thoru Ram Changotra, Sahil Farooq, A A Nazar, Shabir Ahmad, Mushtaq Ahmad, Master Sain Dass, Bodh Raj Dogra and others.
