Momentum Builds for Origin Park’ s Wildwater Project with New Design Partners
Earlier this year, we announced a major milestone for the Wildwater Project at Origin Park— retaining Calibre / S2O to lead the design of our whitewater channel efforts. Today, we’ re excited to share that our momentum continues with the addition of two key partners as we move quickly towards the Conceptual, Schematic, and Design Development phases.
For the adventure components of the Wildwater Project, we have engaged Experiential Resources( ERi), a global leader in aerial adventure experiences. Since 1993, ERi has pioneered high-volume, operationally efficient zip-line and aerial attractions worldwide. Their expertise in design, construction, and operations ensures innovative, place-driven experiences that not only captivate guests but also support long-term operations.
To lead the design of public spaces— including guest amenities, food and retail, and event areas— we have partnered with Perkins & Will. With an extensive portfolio in hospitality, sports, recreation, and entertainment venues, Perkins & Will brings unparalleled expertise in creating engaging environments that enhance the visitor experience. Their thoughtful approach will help us craft vibrant, memorable spaces that make the Wildwater Project a premier destination.
“ Our vision for all aspects of Origin Park has always been‘ world class’ and Olympic scale,” said Dennis Schnurbusch, CEO of River Heritage Conservancy.“ With S2O, ERi, and Perkins & Will, we have assembled a best-in-class team to bring that vision to life.”

Origin Park at Leadership Southern Indiana Community Health Day
Our CEO, Dennis Schnurbusch, was recently invited to present to Leadership Southern Indiana as part of their Community Health Day, highlighting how Origin Park is poised to make a lasting impact on the well-being of our region.
From the early stages of planning, we recognized that one of the most powerful legacies of this project would be its contribution to community health and quality of life.
When conducting a case study, we uncovered a troubling statistic: our metropolitan statistical area( MSA) has an obesity rate 3.6 % higher than the average of our peer cities. This variance alone accounts for an estimated 45,000 lost workdays due to health-related issues each year.
Once complete, Origin Park will provide countless opportunities for outdoor recreation, from hiking and rock climbing to water-based activities— all designed to promote both physical and mental well-being.
We believe in the power of nature to transform lives, and we’ re proud to be creating a space that will help members of our community live healthier, happier lives. That’ s a vision we can all get behind!
