Two days workshop on Entrepreneurship called as “SPARKATHON-2018” was conducted by IT BT & ST GOVT OF KARANATAKA , BANGALORE at SDM College of Engg, Dharawad
Hi, I am Narasimha kulkarni (7th sem of ISE dept) and my team members are Kavyashree, Pavankumar, Nandita, Chandana .We had attended two days workshop on Entrepreneurship.
The two days workshop which was held at SDM College of Engineering & Technology, Dharwad, on 13 & 14 November of 2018 was a new exposure to the Entrepreneur's world. The working session of the workshop was carried by Mr. Janganathan , a Resource Person and presently an Entrepreneur. On the first day we were taught about how to generate ideas by conducting the activities. For this tasks were given to each team
1. In first day session
• The first task was to generate problem statements as many as possible by reading the newspapers and to list them in a sheet of paper and there was an active participation by each of the team members
•The second task was to pick one of the generated idea from the list of problem statements. We then were said to implement our ideas on how it would solve the current problems then we were said to present our idea on the dais to explain why we think it was more efficient than the an existing solution
2. In the second days session we were told what a real an entrepreneur is and various types of entrepreneurs

After that the trainer conducted a test, we could judge to which category of entrepreneur we belong to , based on the results . After this trainer had given photocopies to each of one us and explained some of those questions like
1. What is the product/service?
2. Who are your customers?
3. How will you make money?
4. How will you defend?
5. How will you communicate to the customer?
On the second day of the last session we were taught to map our ideas on the' Business model canvas chart' to get clear idea of our project. This helped us to know where we need to improve, in which specific areas
Conclusion: After attending two days of workshop by Mr.Jaganathan sir we learnt how to become a successful entrepreneur, what type of difficulties we face and what is the solution for that . We also learnt how to identify to which type of entrepreneur category we belong to and how to use the canvas chart. Overall the event was very helpful for our career
