Nature’ s Spring Mysteries with Naturalist Lydia Robertson
On April 11th, Lydia Robertson hosted a workshop exploring nature’ s spring mysteries. As the season changes and temperatures warm, the environment shifts in many ways. Plants and animals experience changes in growth and behavior, and weather patterns also begin to shift. Thank you to everyone who attended.
Earth Day Tree Giveaway
This Earth Day, Origin Park worked toward a greener future by hosting a tree giveaway for members of the community. We were able to put 75 trees into the hands of park visitors and take a small but meaningful step toward bringing more green space into our neighborhoods. In addition, our team planted 700 trees as part of ongoing ecological restoration efforts in Buttonbush Woods, helping create a healthier and more sustainable environment for future generations.
Landscaping Native Plants with Naturalist Jeremy Beavin
On May 3rd, Origin Park hosted a workshop focused on native plant species and their role in effective landscaping. Native plants are preferred over invasive species, and naturalist Jeremy Beavin provided excellent guidance on selecting plants that are well suited to our region.
This event helped members of our community learn how to support the use of native plants in their own landscapes. Thank you to everyone who attended.
