urges that programs be put forward that join the aims of preservation and affordable housing.
In recent years, the goals of affordable housing and historic preservation have been combined. With assistance from
the City's Community Development funds, Church Community Housing Corporation has purchased and rehabilitated
existing historic buildings to become permanently affordable housing. The combination of affordable housing and
historic preservation will continue to be important to preserve the diversity and the character of the city's
neighborhoods.
