The park provides views of the Atlantic Ocean and is used for hiking, fishing, and relaxing. Fort Adams State Park One of Newport’s historic open spaces, Fort Adams State Park is located along the Newport Harbor. The park is home to the Fort itself, although it is not open to the public. The park provides a multitude of activities such as soccer and rugby for sporting, fishing and boating for marine activities, and water bathing and picnicking for relaxing activities.
