Secret agents only survive in the movies . You are your own marketing department , and you must market and sell yourself if you expect customers to find you and use your services . You may choose to market yourself in any number of different ways . Here are the most common :
• Traditional – print , phone calls , mailouts , TV , radio , premiums
• Digital – websites , email , blogs
• Social Media & Influencer Marketing – Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Twitter , Pinterest , YouTube
• Relationship – loyalty programs , events , thank-you gifts , soliciting feedback , stellar customer service
INFORM YOUR SPHERE
The first order of business is to tell everyone you know of your new affiliation with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty and the services you provide . How you choose to do so is up to you . A combination of channels can work very well when targeting different segments of your sphere . A written note to family and close friends and postcards to acquaintances , neighbors , and vendors may be appropriate . Perhaps you ’ ll send an eCard to your school , social , or sports groups . Florida Realty has a press release template available on the intranet that you can use to craft a news release to send to your local and regional publications . Every person you know or do business with should know what you do and how to reach you .
BUILD YOUR DATABASE
Your database of everyone you know is your most valuable asset ( after your great personality and attitude ). If you don ’ t have one already set up , begin by putting all contacts into a spreadsheet . Find an Excel template on our intranet homepage . You ’ ll use the spreadsheet to upload contact data into your Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) software . Aim for 1,000 contacts to start .
