LETTER FROM THE

Small but mighty , Rhode Island sure does pack a punch . You ’ ll find vast woods and hiking trails , a bustling downtown capital city and roaring ocean waves all within our 1,045 square miles .
COMMUNITY . COMPANY . EDUCATION . EQUITY . YOU ’ RE ALWAYS WELCOME AT TRINITY REP .

When people think of our little state , it ’ s often mistaken with Long Island ( no , we ’ re not a part of New York , although our accent hints at it ). It is usually only discernable by the famed Newport or Providence , the Creative Capital , to out-of-staters , but there ’ s so much more to Little Rhody .
In just one hour , you ’ re able to hop over islands via bridges , dip your toes in the ocean , wave “ hello ” to our neighboring states , spend an afternoon in the woods or visit animals on a farm . Now , how often can you say you ’ ve been in a state where you get the best of all worlds ? Everywhere in between , you ’ ll meet people along the way who “ know a guy ” when you have an inquiry .
JOIN US IN
CELEBRATING
60 YEARS !
Every culture is celebrated here . From the Hispanic , Latinx and Asian communities in Providence , Cape Verdeans in Pawtucket , Portuguese in East Providence and Italians all over , just to name a few . Learn about their cuisine and share the experience over food at these global spots ( starting on page 14 ).
Our state has weird quirks and dialect that you ’ ll experience when ordering a wicked good hot wiener “ all the way ” for supper after running into your neighbor at the packie in Downcity ( see page 8 ).
Whether you were born and raised here , moved back after attending college at one of our eleven (!) universities , a frequent summer vacationer-turnedresident or a retiree , welcome to the Ocean State . We ’ re so happy to have you here .
