The NCT is committed to supporting parents through the first 1000 days of their parenting journey, from pregnancy to toddlerhood, whether it’s through antenatal or postnatal courses, social groups run by local branches, help and support phone lines or campaigning for improved maternity care and better services for parents. The lifelines that the NCT provides, both on a national and local level, really make a difference to parenting journeys and outcomes. As we celebrate 60 years of doing so, I hope that, as the charity’s role Would you recommend volunteering with the NCT to others? Absolutely. It’s a great charity to be involved in, there is a role to suit anyone, if you can commit to a few hours a week, month or even a year then there is a way for you to be involved. Many of the charity’s volunteers start with the Nearly New Sales and soon get bitten by the bug (it helps that the committee are so welcoming) and involvement grows from there.
