DIY Plate for Santa’s Cookies & Milk
What’s needed?
Oven-save ceramic plate
(the cheaper, the better)
Oil-based Sharpies
Nail polish remover (to
clean errors)
Directions:
Step 1: Clean your plate thoroughly. After it's dry, start drawing on your
plate. I recommend tracing in pencil first, to make sure you get your
design how you want it.
Step 2: Draw over your designs with the Sharpie markers. Once dry, place
in the oven while the oven is still cold.
Step 3: Turn the oven on to 400 degrees, letting the plate gradually heat
up with the oven. After 20 minutes, turn the oven off. Wait for the oven to
completely cool before removing your plate.
Step 4: Put cookies on your new plate for Santa!
Tip: These plates aren't guaranteed dishwasher save even after you bake
your designs. Hand-wash your plates afterwards, just to be safe. Also, the
colours may change and become darker/less vibrant after you bake
them for a bit.
