up in God and it belongs to God. He is the Master, the Sovereign Ruler and He reigns as the King and the Lord in our lives. He instructs in Matthew 6:33 how live this "life". It's a short verse that says, seek first the Kingdom of Heaven and His righteousness and ALL other things will be added unto you.
We have 2 things to seek after, 2 things to set our affections on and desire deeply in our heart and that His Kingdom , which is His dominion or the King's dominion and His righteousness. THAT'S IT!! ALL other things will be added unto us. The principle for how things are added to us laid out in 3 John 1:2. We will prosper and be in good health AS OUR soul prospers. This is important thing to understand. Remember, we discussed how originally are just flesh and soul. When we are born again, then we now have a spirit. The stronger our spirit man is, the more control and dominion it will have over our flesh and soul. The more we submit to the will of God means the less we are submitting to our flesh and soul. So prosperity and good health comes to those who have their flesh and soul in check BY having a strong spiritual relationship with God.
God has no problem ADDING nice homes, fine cars, great spouses and super cute kids to our lives as long as our spirit is prospering. And the deal is, when we are trying to get our own big homes, fine cars, great spouses and super cute kids, we are missing church, never praying, skimming over a scripture every now and then and totally unable to even hear and define the voice of God. He is NOT the boss and therefore there is ZOE life going on just BIOS.
Our new life comes with a new boss. The day we give our lives to Him, He is our official ruler and King. He tells us where to serve, who to speak to, where to work, who to date, how to date.... He runs our lives and He uses His shepherds (Jeremiah 3:15) and His 5 fold gifts (Ephesians 4:11) to instruct, guide and groom us IN ZOE- the God intended LIFE.
Let us pray:
Dear Father, we come thanking You and praising You for who You are in our lives. There is none like You in all of the earth. Great is Your name and You are worthy to be praised! Lord we thank You for desiring to give us Your best. The best You had as Your only begotten Son and then the best life we could ever have here on earth. We pray for hearts that will embrace, minds that will understand and ears that will hear YOU as Lord and King. We pray to be humble and not wise in our own eyes. We pray to become people that will trust in YOU with all of our hearts and will stop leaning to our own understanding. We welcome Zoe and ask for the strength and wisdom to abandon bios. Have your way in our lives. Add what you see fit when you see fit. Help us to be patient worshippers who seek Your face not Your hand. These are the things we asked today in Jesus' name. AMEN
