Good Day and welcome to your Kingdom Connection Devotional for Wednesday- January 10th! It is my prayer that you being as blessed as I am just talking about the NEW in God. Monday's devotional shared on Salvation and being born again. Tuesday's devotional talked about being a New Creation and a Babe in Christ and on today we are going discuss this New Life.

There are some occurences in our lives are simply transitions like going from 3rd grade to 4th grade. You're still at the same school. You still have the same classmates. You still have the same time routines and habits. But we all know there is no comparison in learning how to handle elementary school like it is learning how to handle Middle School. Now we are talking, different students, different location, different schedule with 7 different teachers. It's like WHOAAAA!!!! THIS IS ALL NEW! College, our first job, marriage, the first baby.... all of these things throw us into something very NEW.

On yesterday, I intentionally mentioned that it didn't matter how a person was NOR how long they had been in or gone to church when it came to analyzing their spiritual life. A 50 year converted muslim and a 35 year preacher's son who give their lives on the same day are both 1 day old spiritually. So time nor religious background matter AT ALL. Spirit can only commune with spirit. So regardless of religious activity or otherwise, God did not know us spiritually UNTIL our spirit man was born again. And again, at this point we just stepped into Middle School, we've just said "I do" at the altar or the baby has now just been borned and we are in a NEW place in our lives. And this is exciting.

Christ tells us that He came so that we could have LIFE. Now many of you may be saying, Minister, we already have life. We are breathing and moving, working and getting old. So on today let's make the spiritual and biblical distinction of what "Life" really is and what is should be.

In the Bible we will find 2 words for life. When it is referring to our natural, every day existence we will find the greek translation 'bios'. This is where we get our english word biology.

In Luke 8:14 the word "bios" is used. And that which fell into the thorns, these are those who heard and, going away, are utterly choked by anxieties and riches and pleasures of this life, and do not bring any fruit to maturity.

This is the existence that we all are familiar with. Bios is what we are born into. Bios is what we naturally grow up in. Bios is what WE try to make pleasurable and enjoyable to best of our abilities. It is the every day, personal, self-focused ambitions, dreams and desires that we hope to accomplish and enjoy. That's LIFE- or one form of it anyway. But when Christ tells us He came so that we could have LIFE, He did not mean that He came so that we could drive nice, live nice, have perfect spouses and wonderful children. He did come for a life in the things of the natural. He did not come for a life of things that would not carry over into eternity. He did not come for a life that was fleeting and when it all said and done, at best was a success. He came for, what is intepreted in the Greek, ZOE- which means the God-intended Life.

Now believe it or not, those are 2 different things. Let's look at Adam before the fall. Adam had been given an God- given assignment. He was tend and keep the Garden of Eden. Adam had one boss and one friend. This was the original God intended life for mankind. When God saw that Adam was lonely and could not find a suitable mate, God gave him a helper.

The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.” Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man… but for Adam no suitable helper was found. So the Lord God… made a woman… and he brought her to the man.

~ Genesis 2:18-22

And with all of that, the God intended life did not change. There was only one boss and (Adam and Eve) were as 1. Now we know that all fell to pieces which is why God sent who is also referred to as the Second Adam or more appropriately, the Last Adam who is Jesus Christ. Once again, we are introduced to a depiction of the God- Intended Life (Zoe). Jesus was 12 years old and getting His mother "straight" after HE had scared the crap out of her from being left behind. She thought she had lost her son and He is in the synagogue teaching and questioning the religious leaders. When she finds Him, the conversations is recorded as such in Luke 2: 48)When His parents saw Him, they were astonished. “Child, why have You done this to us?” His mother asked. “Your father and I have been anxiously searching for You.” 49) “Why were you looking for Me? He asked, “Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?”

Jesus was on earth with a mom, dad, siblings, business owners, etc... and had ONE boss.... again I say AT TWELVE YEARS OLD! LOL. That's zoe!

The life Jesus came to give us is a life that is all about God. It is wrapped
