Dan Flavin lights up the rooms of the DIA Beacon musuem in Beacon, New York with his florescent light installations. Most of Flavin's work that is shown throughout the musuem is part of his "1973, Unititled series". Viwers follow the illuminating lights from room to room, ready for the selfies to be taken at hand. Each installation is set up at different angles and Flavin takes a new play on sculpting with placing the flourescent lights in an order to form shapes of some sort. Flavin was able to use his installations to allow light to define architecture. Although having passed at 63, Flavin was able to leave behind his legacy and map his terrority through his work. Walking room to room may be uneasy for the eyes as you get closer to the installations but it's very much worth the watch.
