iagara Falls is renowned the world over for its
majestic waterfalls, but that’s not all this charming
town has to offer. You can experience the rest of
Niagara Falls—including its rich history, thriving
culture and vibrant communities, all set along the
scenic Niagara River—via the Discover Niagara shuttle. Running
from May 15 through October 2017, the hop-on/hop-off shuttle
stops conveniently at Niagara Falls Train Station. It’s convenient
and easy—and it’s free of charge.
The Discover Niagara shuttle covers a 14-mile route, running
from “the Falls to the Fort” in Youngstown, as Niagarans like to say,
allowing visitors to stop at more than 12 destinations along the
way. Four shuttle buses run each day, making stops every 30 to 40
minutes; a full roundtrip takes about two hours. Last year, 33,000
riders rode the shuttle.
The shuttle offers complimentary WiFi onboard and invites
riders to get social, using the hashtags #DiscoverNiagaraShuttle,
#DiscoverNiagara, #Falls2theFort and #EnjoyTheRide. Download
the free Discover Niagara Shuttle App at Discoverniagara.org to
find out information, history and stories about the places and the
people of the communities you’ll be visiting, as well as track the
buses. The app also includes an interactive way-finding map to help
you find cool things to do and see whenever you hop off the shuttle.
Shuttle stops include Old Main Street, Niagara USA Official
Visitor Center, Third and Old Falls Streets, Niagara Gorge
Discovery Center, Aquarium of Niagara, Niagara Arts & Cultural
Center, Niagara Falls Train Station, Whirlpool State Park, Castellani
Art Museum at Niagara University, Niagara Power Project Power
Vista, Lewiston Business District, Lewiston Waterfront,
Youngstown Business District and Old Fort Niagara.
The shuttle runs daily from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Although the
shuttle is free, tickets are required for boarding. Tickets can be
downloaded via the Discover Niagara Shuttle App or at Discoverni-
agara.org by clicking “Get Tickets.” A scannable QR code will pop
up for the driver to scan from your phone. Tickets are also available
for pickup at Niagara USA Official Visitor Center, Aquarium of
Niagara, Niagara Arts & Cultural Center (NACC), Castellani Art
Museum at Niagara University, NYPA Niagara Power Project Power
Vista, Lewiston Welcome Center, Old Fort Niagara and area hotels
in Niagara Falls and Lewiston.
