In 2004, Josh and Jamie Wallbank received a holiday gift that changed their lives: a candle-making kit. The couple have been handpouring candles ever since. In 2016, their small-batch artisanal business, Collar City Candle( named for the Wallbanks’ hometown of Troy), won the All Over Albany Startup Business Grant competition. The company makes candles the traditional way, using lead-free wicks and organic essential oils.
