Located at Ridge Hill Shopping Center in Yonkers, Legoland caters to people of all ages, offering Little Playtimes for kids up to age five (age two and under are admitted for free) and Home School Days for kids of all ages during the day, as well as monthly Adult Nights featuring Master Builder Challenges. The center is not quite as replete with attractions as it is with Lego pieces, but it offers plenty of fun-filled options. Take a ride through a unique Lego world via Kingdom Quest, Merlin’s Apprentice or the newest attraction, Ninjago City Adventure, which just opened in April. Visit the Miniland interactive city and Star Wars Miniland, each constructed with more than 1.5 million Lego pieces and featuring hidden Minifigures. See The Lego Movie 4D: A New Adventure at the Lego 4D Cinema. Attend the Master Builder Academy. Take a factory tour. Build and test Lego racing cars. Check out Lego earthquake simulations. Let your small tykes play in Duplo Village. Or meet for healthy foods and sweet snacks at the Lego Café, and check out the gift shop on the way out. Perhaps the best part of a visit to Legoland Discovery Center Westchester is this: You don’t have to pick up the pieces afterwards! Legoland Discovery Center Westchester is open 365 days a year, 10 am to 7 pm Sunday to Thursday (last entry at 5 pm) and 10 am to 9 pm on Fridays and Saturdays (last entry at 7 pm). It’s approximately five miles from the Yonkers station with taxi, bus or a Zip Car service nearby. Westchester.legolanddiscoverycenter.com Amtrak.com DISCOVERY HudsonRiverValleyRamble.com
