In summertime I like outdoor spots with rooftops or patios — The Frying Pan ( floating lighthouse bar ), Pera Soho , Northern Territory , the Ear Inn , Catch — or Prospect Park , Central Park and Washington Square Park , or just walking around the city .
“ I ’ m starting to show people more of Brooklyn because there ’ s so much to see ; however , Manhattan is still the key destination for visitors . Oysters were such a popular food item with New Yorkers in the 19th century that the shells were used to pave Pearl Street in the Wall Street district , as well as used for lime for the masonry of the Trinity Church on Wall Street .
