NEW TRAIN STATIONS
Progress continues on four new passenger rail stations in
Niagara Falls, Rochester, Schenectady and Manhattan. Upgrades to
a fifth—the Buffalo-Depew Station—were completed in December
2012. Highlights include:
Niagara Falls International Transportation
Center
The new Niagara Falls station
opened in March 2017.
Rochester for generations. A brick façade, barrel-vaulted windows,
arches, and skylights will grace the spacious, modern station. It will
provide passenger amenities and improved accessibility with a
well-lit concourse, a modern arrival/departure board, retail space
and an elevator, escalator and stairs to a new high-level passenger
platform that will ease train boarding and departure. The project
