Orrefors och Kosta Boda
Our brands Orrefors and Kosta Boda are undergoing major change work , including enhanced brand work and product selection and distribution strategy with the aim of differentiating the brands . The identity of the respective brands can be seen on our digital platforms with e-commerce kostaboda . se and orrefors . se , which were launched in the second half of 2021 . In the first quarter of 2022 , the English versions were launched .
The work with sustainability is a priority and the company has initiated a number of new projects . These include increasing the recycling of waste glass from our own production , streamlining energy use and maximizing the reuse of water resources at the glassworks in Kosta .
Orrefors
Since 1898 , Orrefors has been firmly based in a Scandinavian design tradition characterized by timeless aesthetics , innovative craftsmanship and sustainable quality . Orrefors products are designed by well-known designers for an international audience with an interest in Scandinavian design in the premium segment . The brand ' s origin and successful history are regarded internationally as a guarantee of high quality .
During the year , Lena Bergström added additional products to the successful Carat series . Her Squeeze series has also been expanded with more parts . The Orrefors bar range has been expanded with the series Grace by Erika Lagerbielke . Furthermore , Orrefors has started a collaboration with the established Swedish designer Monica Förster and the English designer Benjamin Hubert whose products will be launched in 2023 .
Kosta Boda
Collection Kosta Boda offers well-designed and functional utility and interior products with the aim of reflecting and promoting a modern lifestyle , with a focus on everyday life ; i . e . everything from life around the dining table and decor , to creating memories in everyday festivities .
During 2022 , products have been released by , among others , Åsa Jungnelius , Mimmi Blomqvist and Sara Woodrow . There have been collaborations with Salong Betong and Sneakersnstuff .
Collaboration has begun with a number of recognized designers ; Ilse Crawford , Front , Shane Schneck , Clara von Zweigbergk , Hanna Hansdotter and Harry Allen .
Art glass Kosta Boda has a long tradition of producing world-class art glass and its reputation as creative and challenging has spread far beyond Sweden ' s borders .
During 2022 , Kosta Boda Art glass has participated in significant exhibitions in Stockholm , Paris , London and Stockbridge , USA .
New exciting collaborations have begun with the artists Ellen Ehk Åkesson , Markus Åkesson and the sculptor Johan Röing who were presented in Kosta Boda Art Gallery ' s large summer exhibition .
The year ended with a memorial exhibition of Göran Wärff , a beloved master of glass , and a tribute to Erika Lagerbielke and her forty-year career at Orrefors Kosta Boda .
