Note 6 - Salaries , other remuneration and social security contributions
Accounting policies
Remuneration to employees in the form of salaries , paid leave , paid absence due to sickness , pensions etc . are recognized as they are earned . Both defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans are used in New Wave Group . The defined benefit pension plans are only smaller pension plans . For white-collar employees in Sweden ITP 2-plan defined benefit pension obligations for retirement- and family pensions ( or family pension ) are secured through insurance in Alecta . According to a statement from the Swedish Financial Reporting Board , UFR 10 Accounting for pension plan ITP 2 financed by insurance in Alecta , this is a defined benefit plan that covers several employers . Since Alecta does not have sufficient information available for measurement , the Group ’ s pension obligation with Alecta is accounted for as a defined contribution plan . The Group ’ s contributions to defined contribution pension plans are charged to the income statement in the period to which they are attributable .
