Founded in 1957 , this 3 / 8 mile high banked oval track is one of the finest in the Midwest , drawing some of the region ’ s best short track drivers each weekend during the summer months . Thousands flock to the grounds a few miles northwest of the City of New Richmond to see up to 120 drivers compete in a setting that includes indoor and outdoor seating , skyboxes , and camping opportunities . The track hosts many nationally sanctioned and premier racing events and often hosts special corporate events at the track .
