JUPITER PUBLIC SAFETY

The Town of Jupiter places a high value on safety and is committed to ensuring its Public Safety departments work together to set the standard for excellence. The Jupiter Fire Rescue Department has already collaborated closely with the Jupiter Police Department on community outreach initiatives, and when JFRD begins providing service on October 1, 2026, they will join forces with JPD in a united effort to protect and serve the community. Together, these departments will ensure that Jupiter continues to lead in public safety, with a shared commitment to the well-being of all residents.
Jupiter Fire Rescue Department( JFRD)
Starting October 1, 2026, the JFRD will begin serving Jupiter residents. Residents can stay up to date with JFRD news and developments by visiting jupiter. fl. us / FireRescue or by following JFRD on Facebook @ JupiterFireRescue.
Jupiter Police Department( JPD)

The Jupiter Fire Rescue Department( JFRD) will begin serving the community on October 1, 2026, and will set the benchmark for service delivery on day one.
This new department was created so Town Council could make fiscally responsible decisions for Jupiter’ s residents and businesses. JFRD will significantly reducing the cost of fire rescue and emergency services compared to the charges from existing costs.
The Town of Jupiter has long fostered a culture of excellence in public safety, a standard set by the Jupiter Police Department every day. JFRD will carry that tradition forward, starting with a commitment to excellence from day one.
JFRD has already been actively engaging with the community to promote fire safety and emergency preparedness. This includes Canine Care Workshops, AEDs in Town parks, Life Rings in parks with bodies of water and safety education at local schools.
With 109 sworn officers and 34 civilian staff members, the Jupiter Police Department is organized into three bureaus: Operations Support, Patrol, and Administrative Services, each with specialized divisions and units.
The department offers various community programs, including the Citizen Police Academy, Junior Police Academy, Coffee with a Cop, bicycle safety rodeos and more.
