When we open the season on Oct. 24 we’ll have installed THE AMERICAN POETRY THEATER www.TheAmericanPoetryTheater.com The American Flag - (October 10-12) The American Poetry Theater was created in April of this year and debuted at Central Avenue House in Ocean Grove in April. We’re looking forward to establising ourselves as “a blues theater for the people” of Asbury Park and America. Also looking forward to involving youth from Asbury Park, also people who don’t normally get a voice or platform to be heard. We want people to know that we are a poetry theater, which means to us that we emphasize very openly honest, from the gut, lyrically powerful works. We are not primarily a rational, psychological theater. We are not a commercial theater. We are a popular theater, a theater for the people. Visit us online at http://www.NewJerseyStage.com pg 99
